Can you hear me dancing a jig of delight? Many thanks to Happy March for leading me to Anthropologie's ceramics from South Africa. I love ceramics (cough*cough*... you should see the hutch in my dining room), and somehow I see myself adding to my collection pretty soon!
Some of the patterns are inspired by towns, like Port Elizabeth, or by the patterns in shwe shwe skirts. You can read more about shwe shwe skirts on She Wears Shwe Shwe. I believe I may have my own shwe shwe skirt arriving in December. Can't wait!

Wow, those are nice. And that is honestly the first time I have ever heard of anything being inspired by Port Elizabeth... -X
I saw those lovely ceramics too. Any idea who makes them?
Not yet, but I'm hoping to get to one of their stores this weekend. Let you know if I find out... maybe you could pick them up in SA.
(hee hee! me too, Xander, me too)
Nice to see this! An Anthropologie rep was scouting around SA earlier this year, and it's good to know they did find something. These ceramics are really beautiful. It's a pity there isn't more information on the Anthropologie site...
