I See It In the Clouds

As I say ad naseum, the awesome thing about the internets is the people you meet. Or, in this case, those you reconnect with.

After writing about Frances last week, she got in touch with me and told me about a project she is doing besides her photography. She has a little etsy shop. There isn't much to buy but what she sells is not little at all.

I think it would look beautiful with anything. Love it.

Beatnik Bazaar

A great blog and South African shop I recently stumbled upon is Beatnik Bazaar (shop and blog). Run by Thaya in Kalkbay near Cape Town, there is so much to love... the styling:

the lovely goodies for sale (I'm dying to get my hands on the enamel jewellery, and Thaya ships to the US! My birthday is coming up soon...!!)

and I love getting a peep into Thaya, and her son Luca's lives down by the sea (love the first shot, from her Christmas holiday sequence... isn't that silliness what possesses us all round this time of year?)

Freshly Found

One of my fellow bloggers from sunny South Africa, Freshly Found, has branched out and now has a delightful online boutique.

She has some beautiful things, just in time for Christmas shopping! (With really good prices, too!) Head over here to see more.

Wish I Was There

I was going to say that I hope these guys ship overseas, but this shop really looks like a place you need to go to and enjoy in person. Next time I'm in Cape Town, it's a definite!

The Rhubarb Room sells gifts and clothing, and have a cafe', all in French style.

Faithful

Faithful to Nature
is a glorious resource of organic goodies... cosmetics, clothing, aromatherapy materials, food, and more. Sure, this isn't art and design but this is so fabulous I had to share it anyway.

The proprietors, Chris and Robyn, started the company after returning from abroad to South Africa, and wanted to create a place where people could get wholesome products for themselves, their families and pets that was good for them, and the earth.

My personal faves from the site? Hempton's Rosehip and Hemp Salt Scrub.
